OMEX was established

With the purchase of a small building and a few old WW11 out buildings on Bardney Airfield Lincolnshire. The company introduced suspension fertilisers in the UK.

1976

Purchased Estuary Road site, King’s Lynn

as demand grew and to facilitate our fertiliser application services in Lincolnshire and East Anglia, a site on the docks was purchased. The property had substantial liquid storage tanks.

1984

OMNIA Fertilisers renamed OMEX Agriculture

Originally named OMNIA, the company was rebranded in 1985 to OMEX Agriculture.

1985

Purchased liquid business of Kemira in the UK and the Farmers Fertilizer Company

Operations continued to expand throughout the UK.

1986/88

First dividend paid to shareholders

13 years into the journey shareholders of OMEX Agriculture received their first dividend as the companies success continued to grow.

Reached milestone of delivering 100,000 tonnes fertiliser

The first of what was to be many, 100,000 tonnes of fertilisers, was delivered to farmers across the UK.

Plant SAP was launched

A ground-breaking technology that enables growers to see the full nutritional status of the plant, for accurate crop recommendations.

OMEX Environmental Ltd established

OMEX diversified into wastewater treatment and optimising renewable energy technologies.

1990

New IT system introduced – IBM 305

Systems have advanced significantly since the introduction of IBM 305, at the time it was the start of a whole new technological era for OMEX.

OMEX Agrifluids Ltd was founded

Exporting concentrated crop nutrient formulations to now over 85 nations worldwide.

Agrifluids started, now active in 85 countries

OMEX Agrifluids become established, starting originally in the UK the company now operates across the globe in over 85 countries, supplying the globe with crop nutrition.

1994

OMEX Deicers introduced

The introduction of non-corrosive de-icing products for various applications but primarily for airports.

1997

Commenced selling speciality fertilizers in California, USA

OMEX Agrifluids Inc. started with production in Fresno and is now growing throughout the USA.

1997

OMEX Agriculture Inc. founded in Canada

With a production site in Winnipeg, Manitoba. OMEX markets its speciality fertilizers including seed dressings, foliar feeds, plant health promoters.

2002

OMEX Environmental Ltd further diversified

OMEX Environmental branched into the AdBlue market supplying their range to help reduce emissions.

Milestone of 100 staff

The team was growing, now with 100 staff in the UK, dedicated to providing customers with environmental and crop solutions.

OMEX Agrifluids Ltd relocate to a new site at Saddlebow, Kings Lynn

The new home to the UK base of OMEX Agrifluids was purchased.

2008

OMEX® do Brasil established Piracicaba, São Paulo

With a growing market for specialities nationwide.

2010

Improving the network of liquid nitrogen facilities

A strategic import site was purchased in Ipswich, to help achieve quick delivery of quality product across UK.

2011

OMEX Agrifluids awarded The Queens Award for International Trade

Thanks to hard work, dedication, and high-quality products from the OMEX Agrifluids team.

2014

OMEX Mexico established in Guadalajara

Continued demand for OMEX products continued to grow, calling for the establishment of OMEX Mexico, specialising in a range of crops including agave.

2015

Dundee site opened

To support Scottish farming, the latest OMEX facility providing liquid nitrogen to farmers was opened. Located in the port of Dundee, the site provides the farming community with quality liquid fertiliser in a timely manner.

2018

OMEX celebrates 45 years of continued growth and success worldwide
